Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a strategic leader to head our Technical and Training Operations in the Apache Attack Helicopter Sustainment Program.

This is an exciting opportunity to drive exceptional performance and results in a fast-paced operational environment.

The successful applicant will be based at RAAF Base Townsville, engaging with Defence and Industry stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Lead the ramp up and preparedness of sovereign capability in Townsville.
  • Manage personnel recruitment and onboarding, mandatory training, site access, leave, time accounting and on-the-job skilling for apprentices and aircraft workers.
  • Liaise with Defence Stakeholders and external agencies.

Requirements

We are seeking an individual with:

  • Formal qualifications in aviation maintenance or training organisations.
  • Aircraft Maintenance Licence with supervisory exclusion removed.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate between stakeholders of differing cultural backgrounds and experience.
  • Business acumen to ensure prioritisation and pragmatic deconfliction of stakeholder competing needs.
  • Emotional intelligence to intuitively identify and action stakeholders' needs when conducting business in a high tempo environment.
