Our ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a power generation plant. This includes working shift work as required to monitor the plant and associated equipment.

Your New Role

In this role, you will be an integral part of our operations team, contributing to the achievement of effective monitoring of generating plant and associated equipment across different technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will carry out all duties in accordance with safety policies, environmental principles, quality standards and corporate values.
  • Work closely with the Remote Operations Centre (ROC) to achieve safe & efficient operations of the power station.
  • Coordinate Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) systems and processes to deliver safe access to plant for planned and unplanned maintenance.
  • Conduct routine inspections and tests on gas turbines, reciprocating engines and associated plant.
  • Track all your work hours through work orders.
  • Participate in 24/7 shift roster
  • Direct, undertake or supervise work to maintain personnel safety and ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the power station plant.
Your Skills and Experience:
  • You must have demonstrated competence in workplace safety and a commitment to safe work practices.
  • AQF Level III Certificate or relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding and proven experience in contributing to a constructive culture.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills resulting in effective team membership and contribution to workplace objectives.
  • Proven ability to analyse technical systems and assess/report anomalies.
  • Well-developed computer literacy.
  • Experience with continuous shift work.
