Job Title: Procurement Support Officer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Support Officer to join our team at Empire Group. As a key member of our Procurement team, you will provide administrative support to our procurement processes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Review and enter information into our internal database, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Issue tenders for works and services, ensuring compliance with departmental requirements.
- Provide administrative support to members of the Procurement section, as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative and departmental requirements for procurement, promoting awareness of procurement as a key business function to all departmental staff.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in an administrative/support role.
- Prior experience in procurement/purchasing is highly desirable.
- High attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate initiative and be a team player, handling enquiries to senior staff in their absence within expected timeframes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
- Basic to intermediate MS Office Suite skills.
