Job Title: Procurement Support Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Support Officer to join our team at Empire Group. As a key member of our Procurement team, you will provide administrative support to our procurement processes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Review and enter information into our internal database, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Issue tenders for works and services, ensuring compliance with departmental requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to members of the Procurement section, as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative and departmental requirements for procurement, promoting awareness of procurement as a key business function to all departmental staff.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in an administrative/support role.
  • Prior experience in procurement/purchasing is highly desirable.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate initiative and be a team player, handling enquiries to senior staff in their absence within expected timeframes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Basic to intermediate MS Office Suite skills.
