
Roads and Bridges Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Technical Officer Infrastructure Planning.
The successful applicant will be responsible for analysing, preparing and planning infrastructure works including roads, paths, drainage, marine infrastructure, carparks and bridges.
This role requires excellent problem solving and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated planning and civil engineering experience, with a strong understanding of local government operations and policies.
The position provides a wide variety of tasks and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyse and prepare infrastructure works plans and designs
- Identify and investigate infrastructure customer requests
- Contribute to external funding applications and project manage specialist consultancy services
- Perform Local Area Traffic Management assessments
- Highly self-motivated person with excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Demonstrated planning and civil engineering experience
- Strong understanding of local government operations and policies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Level 5 or Level 6 salary
- 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
- Three additional Public Service holidays
