Emergency Response Specialist

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our Emergency Services team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to critical emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain operational emergency response equipment and ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Complete thorough drug and alcohol testing as per industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to execute various projects related to workplace safety.
  • Provide pre-hospital emergency care, adhering to clinical standards, accurately documenting all incidents, and applying the correct operational procedures.

This is a permanent position with a 8:6 / 7:7 day and night shift roster, either fly-in fly-out or residential from Perth.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a highly capable team player who can work collaboratively with site and HSS teams to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.

Above all, your positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for the success of the team.

Providing leadership and mentoring to other team members and Emergency Service Volunteers in both clinical training and emergency response scenarios is crucial to our success.

Requirements:
  • AHPRA Registration (Paramedic or RN) – current with no conditions or restrictions which would impact SOCP attainment and practice
  • Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue, or Public Safety or equivalent / higher is mandatory.
  • Experience in rescue operations, firefighting, on-road ambulance, defence forces, or other emergency services is required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management and/or operational mining experience is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and interaction experience with personnel, patients, or customer service is necessary.
  • Ability to make effective decisions in rapidly unfolding situations is crucial.
