Electrical Supervisor Job Description

This role involves leading construction teams to deliver major energy transition projects, overseeing pole installation and associated distribution line works across large-scale infrastructure. The Electrical Supervisor will ensure the safe completion of work, coordinate with engineers, project managers, and client representatives, and provide daily reporting to site management.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Supervise the safe installation, replacement, and maintenance of power poles and associated equipment
    • Manage crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project standards
    • Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, and enforce safety compliance at all times
    • Liaise with engineers, project managers, and client representatives to coordinate works
    • Monitor progress against schedules and provide daily reporting to site management
    • Mentor and support team members to maintain high performance and strong safety culture

Requirements:

  • OHS Construction Card (White Card)
  • Current Driver's Licence (HR preferred)
  • High Risk Work Licence (EWP, Dogging/Rigging advantageous)
  • Certificate III in ESI – Distribution or equivalent qualification
  • Proven supervisory experience in pole and line construction projects
  • Previous FIFO experience (preferred)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
  • Two contactable work-related references
