Operations and Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations and Service Manager to lead our industrial machinery service business.

This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring the ability to manage scheduling, service delivery, customer communication, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a trade background in mechanical, diesel, HVAC, electrical, or plant maintenance, as well as proven team leadership experience and strong operational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage scheduling, service delivery, customer communication, and reporting
  • Lead and mentor technicians to set standards, ensure their safety, and hold them accountable
  • Troubleshoot with customers over the phone and support the team in the field
  • Provide clear, practical monthly reporting to stakeholders

Requirements:

  • A trade background in mechanical, diesel, HVAC, electrical, or plant maintenance
  • Proven team leadership experience, including managing performance and maintaining a positive team dynamic
  • Strong operational skills, including scheduling, job costing, KPIs, and reporting
  • Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and step in when things go wrong
  • A balance of 'firm but fair' to hold people accountable without losing the room
