Base pay range A$290,601.00/yr - A$419,000.00/yr Reports to: Deputy Secretary Leadership: 297 FTE, $277 M operational budget Remuneration: $290,601 - $419,000 Total Remuneration Package FRV employs circa 4700 staff, with a $1.1billion operating budget.
Head officed in Melbourne CBD, FRV delivers world-class fire and rescue services to metropolitan Melbourne and major regional centres across Victoria.
Established in 2020 as part of the state's fire services reform, FRV builds on a century of excellence in emergency management and community safety.
Position Overview The Executive Director Corporate Services plays a critical role in supporting FRV's organisational capability through strategic leadership of essential corporate functions.
Leading a substantial portfolio encompassing Information Technology (CIO), Finance (CFO), Procurement (CPO), Fleet Services (Director Fleet), Property Services (Director Property), and Fire Equipment Services (Director FES), you will create a workplace environment that enables FRV to fulfil its mission of keeping Victorian communities safe.
You will provide authoritative counsel to the Executive Leadership Team across each of the portfolio areas, develop sustainable funding strategies, oversee major asset portfolios, and ensure corporate services deliver exceptional value to both internal stakeholders and the Victorian community.
Your Experience and Attributes Proven executive leadership in managing corporate functions within service organisations of similar scale and complexity Sophisticated financial acumen with experience developing funding sustainability strategies, preferably in public sector environments Outstanding track record in technology transformation and systems improvement Demonstrated expertise in major asset management and capital investment programs Outstanding stakeholder engagement capabilities with excellent communication skills Experience building high-performing teams during periods of organisational change Sound understanding of public sector governance and compliance frameworks The successful candidate will hold relevant tertiary qualifications (postgraduate credentials highly regarded) and bring substantial leadership experience, preferably with knowledge of the public sector environment.
