About the role:
Reporting to the Program Director, the Lead Scientist will define the strategic direction for our astrophysics research. You will be responsible for developing the research strategy and fostering connections with the global astronomy community.
We seek an internationally acknowledged scientist with a distinguished reputation in the field of astrophysics. You will be a visionary leader who inspires innovation and collaboration through mentorship and guidance.
This position offers a unique opportunity to lead within a world-class research facility, utilizing cutting-edge technology and instrumentation.
About you:
- A PhD (or equivalent qualifications and research experience) in radio astronomy, astrophysics, or a related discipline.
- A strong international reputation in the field of radio astronomy/astrophysics.
- Proven experience in strategic planning for research and development organizations.
- A record of maintaining professional ethics and conduct.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
