System Engineer Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a critical national defence infrastructure project, contributing to the effectiveness of Australia's military air traffic control systems.

The role involves working with cutting-edge technology integration and collaborating with industry-leading global technology providers in the defence and aviation sectors.

As part of our commitment to maintaining essential defence infrastructure, we are implementing advanced voice communication systems and digital upgrades that will shape the future of military air traffic control in Australia.

  • Support technical integration of system upgrades with existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation across multiple sites nationwide.
  • Analyse and document system interface requirements between components and legacy systems.
  • Execute verification and validation activities, including factory and site acceptance testing.
  • Identify technical risks and implement approved mitigation strategies for system integration challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders in executing system implementation and transition plans.

Key qualifications include a University Degree in Engineering, minimum 2 years' relevant engineering experience, and demonstrated understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.

Desirable skills include experience working with defence or aviation systems, Systems Engineering tools, and COTS integration in complex technical environments.

Sucessful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security clearance as needed.
