Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Application Support Manager to provide technical support and training for our laboratory information systems, pathology middleware applications, and other IT systems used by our pathology department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and training for laboratory information systems, pathology middleware applications, and other IT systems used by the pathology department.
  • Liaise with the Northern Health IT department to ensure seamless integration and support of all IT systems.
  • Oversee the pathology IT department and ensure that all IT systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Respond to help desk queries and provide timely and effective support to users.
  • Perform system maintenance, configuration, and testing to ensure that all IT systems are functioning correctly.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that users are proficient in the use of all IT systems.
  • Collaborate with the EMR team to ensure that all IT systems are integrated and functioning correctly.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Medical Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least eight years' experience in laboratory information systems, pathology middleware applications, and IT support.
  • Extensive experience working in a diagnostic pathology laboratory as a medical scientist or pathology IT application support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
