Visual Effects Supervisor Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Visual Effects Supervisor to lead our compositing team.

This role is responsible for ensuring seamless integration of multi-pass CG assets into live action plates, collaborating closely with other disciplines to achieve high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the compositing department's workflow and deliverables.
  • Set quality standards and expectations for your team.
  • Address performance issues by meeting regularly with direct reports.
  • Support leads in resolving conflicts and improving their crew management skills.
  • Collaborate with the Head of 2D, VFX & CG Supervisor to build client confidence.
  • Work with production, pipeline, lighting, environment, and effects teams to optimize delivery efficiency.
  • Establish quality control processes and approve compositing output, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Contribute to company-wide creative and technical discussions, focusing on enhancing final image quality.
  • Help develop the compositing training agenda by identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience creating high-end effects for live-action feature films.
  • Expert user of Nuke.
  • Excellent self-organization, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the VFX pipeline, covering the entire post-production process.
  • Some experience with creating templates, scripts, and tool development.
  • Able to work in a Linux-based operating system using command line tools.
  • Working knowledge of other disciplines such as tracking, layout, environment, effects, and lighting, as well as industry-standard software like Maya, Houdini, and 3Dequaliser.

  • Naturalistic light and motion with a focus on dynamics and natural phenomena.
  • Superior attention to detail and strong aesthetic composition skills.
  • Maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Effective problem-solving with a proactive mindset.
