An exciting opportunity now presents itself for a highly motivated Business Development Manager with a focus on off-grid battery storage systems.

This newly created role reports to the Managing Director and involves occasional travel overseas. Whilst the Head Office is based in Melbourne, applications from all States of Australia are encouraged.

The successful candidate will have proven experience with off-grid BES.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement business strategies to enter and build up Battery Storage Product Sales within the region.
  2. Identify new channels to market for DEUTZ battery system products.
  3. Establish market share within the battery storage industry.
  4. Build relationships with new Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  5. Provide technical support to external and internal customers as the Technical Product Champion.
  6. Increase presence in active markets by attending key industry events and exhibitions.
  7. Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop advertising and marketing strategies & campaigns.
  8. Collect competitor data to ensure DEUTZ remains competitive within our target markets.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. SAA Design accreditation for off-grid battery systems.
  2. Technical knowledge of off-grid battery systems, including electrical systems.
  3. DEUTZ product knowledge/training advantageous.
  4. A strategic thinker with short, medium & long-term planning mindset.
  5. Experience in technical sales for mining, agriculture, and construction sectors.
  6. Business acumen/commercial experience.
  7. Ability to define & implement strategies to grow the business & meet targets.
  8. Motivator to all stakeholders.
  9. Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
  10. Advanced communication skills, both written & verbal.
  11. Problem-solving & prompt issue resolution mindset.
  12. Flexible and open to change.
  13. Customer service focus at all times.
