Scientist in Isotopic Mineralogy

Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team and conduct research in isotopic signatures of critical mineral ore systems. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the field of geology and geochemistry.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research into isotopic signatures of critical mineral ore systems with a focus on Australian field sites.
• Be a key member of the Australian Critical Minerals Research Centre and the ARC Training Centre in Critical Resources for the Future.
• Supervise honours and postgraduate research students where applicable.
• Access advanced material characterization and geochemical/isotope facilities such as Adelaide Microscopy MASS and collaborate with CSIRO Geoscience Australia and the ARC Training Centre.

Requirements:

• A PhD in geology geochemistry or a related field.
• An established track record of publications in isotope geochemistry and/or critical mineral ore systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in laboratory procedures for geochemical and isotopic analysis of geological materials.
• Strong research track record in one or more of critical minerals ore systems economic geology hydrothermal geochemistry regolith geoscience.
• Ability to build and maintain collaborations with universities governments and the minerals industry.

Benefits:

• Level B salary $114,917 to $135,932 per annum.
• 17% employer superannuation.
