Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in the field of dynamic simulation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or analytics-related tertiary qualifications.

They will be responsible for developing dynamic discrete-event models to simulate asset supply chains using AnyLogic simulation software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uncover areas of value-adding business and performance improvement opportunities across the asset supply chain;
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define business problems, including setting context, understanding requirements and managing challenges;
  • Design model functionality at a suitable level of detail, ensuring models are fit for purpose and deliver meaningful results;
  • Collaborate with data analysts/data scientists to gain insights and produce input data for models;
  • Define simulation cases, process model results and produce visualisations to support findings and solutions;
  • Present ideas, results and recommendations to various stakeholders;
  • Build business partnerships and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Engineering, computer science, mathematics or analytics-related tertiary qualifications;
  • Practical experience in mining/minerals processing/resource industries or equivalent heavy industries;
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and creative problem solving skills;
  • Capability in project scoping, planning and executing work using a disciplined approach;
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, and ability to influence stakeholders.
