Job Role: Service Deli AssistantKey Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and package a variety of food products, including meals, entrees, salads, party trays, rotisserie chicken, sliced meats, and cheeses.
  • Prepare take-and-bake pizzas according to customer specifications.
  • Maintain the display case by stocking and rotating merchandise.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order and clean.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
Essential Functions:
  • Sanitize equipment and work areas according to sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP).
  • Reassemble equipment and address any corrective actions from the previous night.
  • Fulfill department paperwork requirements.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas throughout the day following SSOP guidelines.
  • Comply with health codes by maintaining proper temperatures.
  • Stock and rotate supplies in coolers and freezers.
  • Remove rubbish from departments and work areas.
  • Operate trash compactors and cardboard balers.
  • Skewer and load chicken into rotisserie ovens.
  • Cook chicken according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Packaging, labeling, and displaying chicken in hot holding cabinets.
  • Adhere to all departments' Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prepare meat, poultry, cold meat, vegetables, and seafood according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assemble platters, pizzas, sushi, salads, raw meats, and other items sold in the Service Deli and Rotisserie departments.
  • Assist with other warehouse departments as necessary.
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and vendors.
Qualifications:
  • Higher School Certificate or equivalent education.
  • Food service experience or comparable certification.
  • Previous experience handling food products.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
