Job Summary

This is a key position in our team, responsible for leading the design and build of hypersonic flight vehicles and associated support equipment.

This role requires strong technical leadership skills, as well as the ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.

  • Lead a team of mechanical engineers across the full engineering lifecycle to design and build hypersonic flight vehicles and support systems.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a team of mechanical engineers and mentor and support their technical development.
  • Act as the mechanical subject matter expert, offering guidance across the broader engineering team.
  • Review and approve design and analysis of mechanical structures and systems for hypersonic vehicles and supporting ground equipment (Production / Test Jigs).
  • Ensure mechanical designs are assessed for Design for Manufacture, Reliability, and the conduct of Failure Modes Effects and Analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and processes.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers and designers to ensure that the mechanical integrity and performance of the vehicles is maintained.
