Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an accomplished Systems Engineering Manager to lead our systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle of cutting-edge aerospace vehicles and their supporting elements.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of systems and test engineers.
  • Manage systems engineering activities from concept to deployment.
  • Collaborate with other Engineering Leaders for alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Improve company tools and processes for systems engineering, integration, and testing activities across the lifecycle.
  • Coordinate systems engineering training initiatives for engineering team members.
  • Team management for shared systems engineering resources.
  • Creation and technical review of systems engineering artefacts.
  • Oversee integration, testing, and specialty engineering activities in alignment with the HLS Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).
  • Perform top-down systems design for new products, including functional analysis, decomposition, and requirements derivation.
  • Support design reviews at various levels.
  • Plan and conduct system integration and verification planning, including in-house environmental testing.

The Ideal Candidate:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor degree in an Engineering or STEM discipline.
  • Experience in a team lead, engineering management, or coordination role in a fast-paced setting.
  • Hands-on experience in systems engineering.
  • Familiarity with the full systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Strong leadership skills with a supportive approach.
  • Agile decision-making and logical problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Resilience and adaptability in complex environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Jira, and MS Project equivalents.
