Correctional Officer Role

This position involves supervising and managing inmates in correctional facilities, ensuring their safety and security.

  • Key responsibilities include maintaining order, conducting headcounts, and monitoring inmate activities.
  • You will also be responsible for reporting any safety or security concerns and searching cells or common areas to maintain a secure environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum age of 18 years
  • A current driver's licence
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
  • The ability to complete a Certificate III in Correctional Practice
  • Meet the medical standards required for the role and maintain a reasonable level of fitness
