Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Auxiliary Firefighter to join our team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for responding to emergency incidents, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness, and contributing to community education activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency incidents, including fires, rescues, and other emergencies
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education and outreach activities
  • Contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of station facilities and equipment
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner
  • Maintain required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
Requirements
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status
  • Manual C Class driver's licence
  • Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable)
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of auxiliary fire station
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • First aid/emergency care certification
  • MRV licence
  • Relevant qualifications in fire science, emergency management, or related fields

What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
