We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a dementia carer. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing tailored care and support to residents with dementia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal and domestic support to residents, including showering, grooming, toileting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities and promote their independence.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and achieve optimal resident outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in dementia care.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate IV in Aged Care (or equivalent) or studying towards a healthcare-related degree.
  • Previous experience in aged care, preferably in dementia care.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of person-centred care principles and best practice in dementia care.
