Job Overview

As a Senior Manager Home Assessing, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the Home Assessing team. Your key objectives will be to drive business performance, develop the skills of your team members, and ensure accountability within the team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the On-road Assessing Team and Desktop Assessing Team to achieve optimal business outcomes.
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Manager to procure services from suppliers, adhering to governance, compliance, and contractual frameworks.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance team engagement, technical capabilities, and customer focus within the Home Assessing team.
  • Coach, mentor, and support Direct Reports to achieve individual and team performance goals, aligning with key performance indicators and service standards.
  • Escalate complex negotiations and disputes, working collaboratively with the Claims Management Team.
  • Implement and oversee regulatory frameworks to manage risks effectively.
  • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to agreed protocols and contractual standards.
  • Identify trends and best practices within the industry, reporting on potential risks or opportunities for Auto & General.
  • Collaborate across the value chain to deliver consistent controls and meet overall business objectives.
  • Lead the Home Assessing Team through Change Programs.
Requirements
  • Proven Senior Leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience leading teams.
  • Strong knowledge of the Home Assessing, Building Repair, and Restoration environment, with at least 5 years' experience.
  • Experience in leading professionals and working effectively within a team structure, with accountability for business results.
  • Commercial acumen and strategic program development capabilities.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
