Strategic Risk Leadership Opportunity

Join a dynamic team as a Strategic Risk Leader, shaping and advancing the department's enterprise risk management capability.

As the key figure in this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering strategic and operational risk initiatives that support the department's vision and objectives.

In this challenging position, success means leading a confident and capable team, providing meaningful risk insights to senior leaders, and fostering a culture where risk is understood, valued, and actively managed across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advance the department's enterprise risk framework by aligning it with strategic objectives, strengthening organizational risk capability, and driving continuous improvement in risk management maturity.
  • Provide strategic, high-level risk advice to senior leaders, while building capability through training, trend analysis, and promotion of risk-based decision-making.
  • Lead the development of risk appetite and profiling, deliver actionable reporting to executive stakeholders, and proactively identify emerging risks to strengthen departmental resilience.
  • Oversee the effective use and continuous improvement of the Risk Management System to support robust risk processes, reporting, and decision making.
  • Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture, mentor staff, chair the Risk Management Reference Group, and collaborate with leadership and stakeholders.
