The Opportunity

We seek an experienced Recycling Operator for a permanent full-time role at our depot. This is a chance to make a positive impact in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while being passionate about sustainability.

As a Recycling Operator, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing shed operations during morning shifts, ensuring trucks comply with the Traffic Management Plan (TMP).
  2. Operating telehandler to push, crush, and load loose materials into trucks efficiently and safely.
  3. Performing basic telehandler maintenance, including washing, greasing, and refueling.
  4. Conducting general yard and shed maintenance to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  5. Assisting in supervising contractors on-site during their work activities.
  6. Supporting Pantech loading and bin disposal operations as required.
  7. Completing daily pre- and post-operation equipment checks along with any other necessary paperwork.

About You

  • Previous experience in waste or relevant industry is advantageous.
  • Forklift licence or loader would be beneficial.
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance is essential.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team is required.
