Senior Payroll Specialist

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to work in a highly regarded retail organisation in Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy across data entry, calculations, and deductions is essential.
- Maintaining employee data and profiles to the highest standard is crucial.
- Responding to and resolving payroll-related queries in a timely manner is vital.
- Delivering regular reporting and payroll analytics, including inputs for strategic business decision-making, is a key responsibility.
- Managing and actioning tickets within agreed timeframes is also important.
- Providing payroll insights and analysis to support business decision-making is another key aspect of this role.
- Previous experience in end-to-end payroll processing in a high-volume environment (large teams or complex processing desirable) is essential.
- Experience in the retail sector is also beneficial.
- Strong skills in reporting, analytics, and manual payroll calculation are required.
- Experience with in-house payroll systems is preferred.
- A solid understanding of EBAs and awards, with strong attention to detail, is necessary.
- The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team is also required.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining employee data, responding to payroll queries, delivering regular reporting, managing tickets, and providing payroll insights. If you have previous experience in payroll processing, preferably in a high-volume environment, and possess strong analytical and communication skills, this role may be suitable for you.
