Private Patient Liaison Officer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Private Patient Liaison Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying private and compensable patients throughout the Monash Health network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential private and compensable patients and assist them in understanding the benefits of utilising private health insurance during their stay within Monash Health.
  • Visit patients and clinical staff on our wards (including the Emergency Department) to obtain supporting documentation and identification.
  • Ensure that these patients are admitted under the correct classification.

About This Role:

  • This is a part-time permanent position.
  • The shifts are set as follows: Mondays 0800-1630, Fridays 0800-1630, and Saturday mornings 0800-1200.
  • There may be opportunities to pick up extra shifts at other hospital campuses.
