Job Title: Senior Enterprise Project Strategist

Job Description:
The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is seeking a seasoned executive to lead its Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO). This is a rare opportunity to drive enterprise-wide initiatives and deliver major projects that support the democratic process in Victoria. As a strategic and visionary leader, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer and oversee the strategic oversight, governance, and delivery of the organisation's major project portfolio. You will work closely with senior executives and stakeholders to ensure projects are aligned with strategic objectives, operational cycles, and community outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategic planning, prioritisation, and execution of major projects.
  • Oversee project governance frameworks, change management, and benefit realisation.
  • Provide high-level advice to executive leadership and governance committees.
  • Build project management capability across the organisation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
You are a seasoned executive with:
Extensive experience leading enterprise-level PMOs in complex, high-stakes environments.
Accreditation in Project Management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile) and change management.
Strong strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capabilities.
A track record of delivering multi-year, high-budget programs with measurable impact.
The ability to influence, coach, and build capacity across diverse teams.
