Community Relations Manager

Our team at Fulton Hogan is seeking a skilled Community Relations Manager to join our Newcastle Inner City Bypass Project Team. Working closely with Transport for NSW, this project involves upgrading 3.4kms of four-lane divided road with interchanges at Newcastle Road, Lookout Road and the John Hunter Hospital precinct.
As a Community Relations Manager, you will be responsible for proactively engaging and building relationships with our community, stakeholders and organisations. This will involve managing all aspects of community engagement for the project, ensuring it's in alignment with the strategic and operation direction of the project.
You will lead the development and implementation of best practice community and stakeholder engagement plans, provide advice on approvals processes and emerging issues, drive necessary engagement with communities and other stakeholders to identify solutions, represent the business in community forums and developing communications materials, and engage with the client, statutory bodies, local government and media.
We are looking for a candidate with a relevant qualification and experience in a communications, stakeholder management or community liaison role. You will have a solid understanding and commitment to principles of equality, diversity, continuous improvement, and experience in meeting contractual obligations as well as organisational and legislative requirements.
