About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Airside Logistics Specialist to join our team at dnata catering in Melbourne. As a key member of our airside team, you will be responsible for marshallng the Driver to position the truck to the aircraft, loading and unloading carts, ovens, and standard units, preparing and packing catering equipment, and performing general cleaning duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Marshalling: Work with the Driver to position the catering trucks to the aircraft in line with policies and procedures.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload the trucks with carts, ovens, and standard units.
  • Catering Equipment: Prepare and pack catering equipment.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform administrative documentation and reporting duties as required.
  • Communication: Communicate in a professional and courteous manner with all stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Possession or ability to attain an Aviation Security Identification Card.
  • Flexibility in regard to working around flight schedules (7 day per week operation).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • A satisfactory police record and criminal history check.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks.
