About the Role

The City of Parramatta is seeking a skilled and motivated Labourer to join our Civil team. As a Team Member, you will be responsible for delivering services that ensure Parramatta's Civil Infrastructure assets are maintained and improved, enhancing the appearance of our City.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Machinery: Drive and operate a truck for the Civil maintenance teams, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of equipment and materials.
  • Plant Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of plant equipment to complete all works, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Formwork Operations: Assist in formwork operations, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Concrete Finishing: Contribute to the completion of concrete finishing, meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Excavation Assistance: Assist with excavation, working collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals.
About You

The successful applicant will bring the following skills to the team:

  • Previous Civil Works Experience: Previous experience in Civil Works or a willingness to learn and develop skills in this area.
  • Adaptable Team Player: An adaptable team player, able to manage changing priorities and take on additional assignments as directed.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A collaborative mindset, willing to work with other teams and operational areas to provide assistance when needed.
Essential Requirements
  • MR Truck Licence: Possession of a valid MR Truck Licence.
  • WHS Industry Certificate: Possession of a valid WHS Industry Certificate (White Card).
  • Asbestos Awareness: Completion of an Asbestos Awareness course.
  • Powerline Awareness: Completion of a Powerline Awareness course.
  • TCR and IMP Certificates: Possession of current TCR and IMP traffic controller certificates.
