Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development and Bid Manager to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the civil engineering sector, with a focus on underground engineering and associated civil engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, potential clients, designers, and industry professionals to cultivate business opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking meetings.
  • Work closely with our technical team to ensure technical expertise and business development are aligned.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management Team to develop and maintain a long-term relationship with new and existing clients.
  • Monitor and identify potential bid opportunities aligning with the company's areas of expertise.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in business development and bid management within the local construction and engineering industry.
  • Well-connected with local clients and contractors.
  • Strong understanding of the engineering aspects of underground engineering, and familiarity with other relevant civil engineering disciplines (geotechnical, structural, or energy/hydropower).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in communication and proposal writing.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience post-Bachelor's degree.
