Capacity Building and Community Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Community Capacity Building Officer – Seniors and Disability to join our team at Georges River Council.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of projects and activities with a particular emphasis on seniors and disability, that support and strengthen the Georges River community.
- Take a strategic and coordinated approach to developing sustainable community capacity-building events, projects, programs, and partnerships within the Georges River local government area.
- Permanent, Full-time employment with a 9-day fortnight subject to operational requirements.
- Salary from $81,546.21 - $94,483.59 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation.

- Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences or other relevant degree.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, community capacity building, and community consultation.
- Excellent research skills, interpersonal skills, and high-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and with other community organisations.
- Understanding of relevant legislative provisions.
- Experience working in Local Government.
- Knowledge of the characteristics of the Georges River local government area.
