Georges River Council is seeking a skilled Community Capacity Building Officer – Seniors and Disability to lead the development and implementation of projects and activities that support and strengthen the community, fostering greater connection and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement projects and activities with a particular emphasis on seniors and disability.
  • Take a strategic and coordinated approach to developing sustainable community capacity-building events, projects, programs, and partnerships.
  • Lead the development of community capacity-building strategies and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve community goals and objectives.
  • Provide high-quality support to community members and organisations.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences or other relevant degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, community capacity building, and community engagement.
  • Excellent research skills, interpersonal skills, and high-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of issues relating to community capacity building, seniors and disability.
