Community Capacity Building Officer - Seniors and Disability
The Georges River Council is seeking a skilled Community Capacity Building Officer to join their team. This role will focus on developing and implementing projects and activities that support and strengthen the community, fostering greater connection and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of community capacity-building events, projects, programs, and partnerships.
- Take a strategic and coordinated approach to developing sustainable community capacity-building initiatives.
- Work with community stakeholders to identify and address community needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community capacity-building initiatives.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences or a related field.
- Experience in project management, community capacity building, and community engagement.
- Excellent research, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and with other community organizations.
