**EAL/D Teacher: K to 6 Role Overview**This is a dynamic and accomplished full-time EAL/D teacher role working within the EAL/D team and the Junior School in a temporary position. The successful candidate will provide EAL/D expertise for teachers K - 6 who teach multilingual students.Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching EAL/D students in K - 6
  • Developing and applying programs, tools and resources that scaffold the NSW Curriculum for EAL/D students
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers in the development of inclusive social and academic programs for students for whom English is an additional language
Requirements:
  • Experience in teaching in K - 6
  • Significant experience in teaching EAL/D students
  • TESOL studies or language-related postgraduate qualification
  • A flexible and collegial approach
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme
