The Government of Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Industry Regulation team as a Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of policies and regulations that support the growth and sustainability of Western Australia's industries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of environmental officers who undertake environmental risk assessments associated with works approvals and licenses. This will involve delegated decision-making responsibilities and providing expert scientific advice to internal and external stakeholders.
The Manager will also contribute to policy and regulatory reform, and the development of better practice to support industry regulation. They will have the opportunity to manage the effective and efficient use of the team's resources to support the delivery of the sector's and wider Division's strategic priorities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental regulation, risk assessment, and policy development. They will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
