About the RoleThis non-clinical position provides a variety of services in community and/or hospital settings. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing holistic and culturally sensitive health services to Aboriginal people
- Communicating with, and facilitating access to, other government and non-government organisations and support services
- Meeting the social, emotional and cultural needs of patients/clients
The Aboriginal Health Practitioner will provide flexible, holistic and culturally sensitive health services to Aboriginal people, inpatients and the community, to achieve better health outcomes and improved access to health services.

- Holding or willingness to complete a Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice) and obtaining AHPRA registration within a two-year period of commencing in the role
- Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and have demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures
- Current Drivers license
