Role Overview

The consumer insights manager will spearhead and integrate customer-centric thinking across all strategic decisions.

This role collaborates with research agencies, marketing teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the voice of the customer is paramount.

The successful candidate will oversee comprehensive research projects, manage tracking programs, drive best-in-class methodologies, and influence senior stakeholders with actionable insights.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute customer research projects in partnership with external suppliers.
  • Lead a brand health tracking program and flexible modules.
  • Create and maintain frameworks for competitive benchmarking, new product development preference testing, and sensory evaluation.
  • Communicate customer learnings to senior leadership and across the organization.
  • Negotiate trend and insights partnerships (e.g., market research firms).
  • Represent the customer voice in commercial and strategic forums.
  • Assist in enhancing marketing team capabilities and insights methodologies.
  • Manage the insights budget across sensory and customer understanding.
About You
  • A seasoned consumer insights professional with 5-7 years of experience (client or agency side).
  • Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Experience managing research agencies and internal partnerships.
  • Knowledge of FMCG, QSR, or foodservice industries (desired).
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking skills.
  • A proactive, structured approach and the ability to translate insights into business opportunities.
  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or Commerce.
