Training and Development Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to design and deliver training courses to both Correctional Services personnel and relevant private organisations.
About the Department
We are seeking an experienced Training and Development Specialist to join our team in Victoria, Australia. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing oversight and coordination to all state training and assessment activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of statewide training programs, ensuring they meet the needs of our stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to oversee and coordinate state training and assessment activities.
- Contribute to creating a positive, safe and healthy workforce culture by designing and delivering training courses that promote best practice and compliance.
- Lead and manage staff to provide a state-wide service that ensures the safety and security of prisoners, staff, and visitors across the system.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, project documents and briefings on a range of issues as required.
- Develop and maintain accurate training records and ensure training is delivered in a timely and consistent manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A full and current Victorian driver's licence or a minimum P2 driver's licence.
- Cert. IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent is desirable.
- Proven experience in training and development, including course design, delivery and evaluation.
