Learning Support Coordinator Role

A challenging opportunity exists to lead the implementation of learning support in our Secondary School. The successful candidate will collaborate with executive staff to oversee targeted intervention strategies and programs, as well as classroom support for students with high learning needs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of Individual Education Plan development, National Disability Coordination Officer (NCCD) processes, and liaison with external providers
  • Active oversight of targeted intervention strategies and programs
  • Classroom support and other support for students with high learning needs

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A commitment to Christian education and a solid understanding of teaching from a Christian worldview
  • Effective practices in learning support, including intervention programs, classroom-based support, and targeted support strategies
  • Qualifications in Education and additional training or expertise in Special Education, Learning Support, or a related field would be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive education, differentiation, NCCD processes, and best practice intervention strategies
  • Demonstrated experience supporting students with diverse learning needs within a school setting
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and administration skills
  • Ability to build capacity in teachers and work in partnership with parents and external providers
  • A heart for each child's unique journey and a desire to see all students grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually
