The Learning Enhancement Teacher plays a vital role in increasing access and engagement for all students by identifying and removing barriers to learning.
This involves working with students, teachers, and families to develop, support, and deliver individualized programs that cater to the unique needs of each student.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implement tailored programs for students
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide in-class support for student learning
- Work closely with classroom teachers to create, update, and implement Individual Learning Plans/Personalised Learning plans and goals
- Analyze cognitive screeners, discuss implications, and apply to ILP/PLPs
- Support the implementation of Individual Learning Plans, Personalised Learning plans, and Student Management Plans
Selection Criteria:
- A deep understanding of appropriate behaviors when engaging with children
- Relevant teaching experience or experience working with children
- Familiarity with Learning Disabilities
- An understanding of program modification
- Professional practice that is aligned with best teaching practices
- Able to multitask, be flexible, and manage changing priorities
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
