We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in a casual capacity. This role involves delivering high-quality support services to customers with disabilities, including assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting community integration, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualised support plans.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional support services to customers with disabilities.
- Assist clients with personal care, mobility, and skill development.
- Promote community integration and support clients in accessing social and recreational activities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised support plans.
- Encourage independence and empower clients to achieve their personal goals.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities.
- Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent ideal.
- 6 months experience required – ideal for candidates ready to learn on the job, with buddy shifts provided for support.
- Require a level of fitness for manual handling.
- Have as much availability as possible, including sleepovers and active nights, and day shifts during the weekend.
- Possess or willing to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWSC).
- Possess or willing to obtain Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Hold a current and valid CPR and First Aid certificate.
- Have a full driver's licence.
- Have valid work rights.
- Successfully complete the NDIS Quality, Safety & You module.
- Passionate about human rights and creating positive change.
- Empathetic and compassionate, with a keen understanding of diverse experiences.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Enthusiastic team player.
