TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is an Alliance between TasWater, UGL, CPB and WSP Australia.

The TasWater CDO will deliver:

  • Major water infrastructure projects across Tasmania as part of the TasWater $1.1 billion capital works program
  • Timely, cost-effective, and quality capital works solutions for all stakeholders
  • Improved safety outcomes
  • Capacity and capability to transition the program back to TasWater post completion
  • The necessary framework for emergent projects
About the Role

A Health & Safety Advisor is required to join the TasWater CDO team.

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor and interpret relevant HSE legislation, policies, and regulations to provide direction and advice to projects that meet statutory and corporate objectives and responsibilities
  • Assess safety in design requirements and provide input for constructability reviews
  • Facilitate risk workshops to effectively plan work in accordance with the project schedule
  • Ensure UGL's HSE objectives and goals are set and attained at the project level, including tracking KPIs for the Business
  • Support the HSE Manager to execute the Project Audit program, including maintaining good documentation records for easy execution regarding third-party audits and maintaining client prequalification status
What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • Diploma-level or tertiary qualifications (Desirable), or Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety + trade background
  • Certificate IV in Training
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a HSE Advisor in a high-risk industry (Project Construction Desirable)
  • Experience working in the capacity of Principal Contractor (Desirable)
  • ICAM Incident Investigation trained and experience in leading investigations and thorough report writing skills that are well received by Regulators, senior management, and client representatives
  • Working knowledge of ISO450001 or AS 4801
  • Strong communication skills

The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
