Community Mental Health Clinician

This role involves providing recovery focused clinical services, including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review, as part of a multidisciplinary team for people who are referred to the service with a mental illness, distress and/or risk issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting mental health assessments and providing evidence-based interventions for people experiencing mental illness.
  • Providing support and guidance to consumers, their families and carers, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in nursing, occupational therapy or psychology, or qualifications for social work, counselling or welfare services with eligibility for professional association membership.
  • Demonstrated experience in contemporary clinical mental health practice, including conducting mental health assessments and providing interventions.
  • Understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act and principles of mental health rehabilitation and recovery.
  • High-level communication skills and proficiency in computer literacy.
