
Community Mental Health Professional

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional mental health services? We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic team
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide recovery-focused clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison, and review for individuals with mental illness, distress, or risk issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
- Collaborate with consumers, families, carers, and other stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes
- Provide evidence-based interventions and support to promote mental health rehabilitation and recovery
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, managers, and external agencies
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications and current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist OR Tertiary qualifications for Social Worker, Counsellor, or Welfare Officer with eligibility for membership of relevant professional association
- Demonstrated experience in contemporary clinical mental health practice, including conducting mental health assessments and providing evidence-based interventions
- Demonstrated understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act
- Understanding of mental health rehabilitation and recovery principles and demonstrated experience using a collaborative, strengths-based approach to care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
