Curriculum Development Specialist

As a key member of the education team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality training materials that meet the needs of students and industry partners.

This role requires a deep understanding of competency-based training and assessment, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will work closely with subject matter experts and trainers to ensure that all curriculum content is accurate, relevant, and engaging.

Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Development and Compliance
  • Develop assessment tools and resources that align with industry standards and regulations.
  • Create or revise unit outlines, learning resources, and mapping documentation to support student learning outcomes.
  • Liaise with industry stakeholders and academic leadership to validate curriculum content and assessment.
  • Ensure integration of workplace and simulated training contexts within course design.
  • Incorporate improvements and updates into assessment tools and documentation.
  • Contribute to the review and update of Training and Assessment Strategies as needed.
Collaboration and Academic Support
  • Work collaboratively with trainers, Course Coordinators, and Heads of Department to ensure curriculum alignment across campuses and delivery modes.
  • Provide advice and support on the interpretation of training packages and changes to training products.
  • Participate in validation and moderation processes as required.
Quality Assurance and Industry Engagement
  • Maintain records of curriculum development and review in accordance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Engage with industry representatives to ensure training products reflect current workforce skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to audit preparations, including provision of curriculum and assessment documentation.
Reporting and Governance
  • Support the development of curriculum-related reports for governance committees.
  • Participate in Curriculum Advisory and Review Committees to present and discuss updates to course and assessment documentation.
  • Ensure feedback from validation, moderation, audits, and industry consultation is incorporated into continuous improvement cycles.
