About the Role

As a Mathematician/Statistician, your primary responsibility will be to provide specialist statistical advice on data analysis and insights. You will also be tasked with developing and implementing new statistical solutions and methodologies, as well as collaborating with stakeholders across government agencies to deliver projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide statistical advice on data analysis and insights
  • Develop and implement new statistical solutions and methodologies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects and initiatives

You will also receive formal and on-the-job training and mentorship, allowing you to grow professionally and make meaningful contributions to the team.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Be an Australian citizen at the time of application
  • Have completed at least an Australian Qualifications Framework Level 7 qualification (a Bachelor degree), or higher equivalent by 31 December 2026
  • Have completed your most recent, eligible qualification between 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2026
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a valid Australian Government security clearance if required
