Job Summary:

The Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all customers and consignees.
  • Pick up and deliver goods as requested, utilizing effective time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Anticipate and resolve any issues that may arise during deliveries, maintaining a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Communicate effectively with the Dispatch Officer, keeping them informed of progress and any delays.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Prepare shipments for delivery, including making up boxes as required.
  • Monitor packaging materials and advise the Operations Supervisor when stock is running low.
  • Be prepared to work overtime during busy periods and request additional duties during quieter times.
  • Perform airport duties as directed, including import and export tasks.
  • Work periodic weekends as rostered.
  • Maintain an adequate stock of packaging materials and labels.

Dispatch Supervisor

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 Kilos.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Good driving record.
  • Good knowledge of the metropolitan area.
  • Pleasant and proactive manner when interacting with customers.
  • Good knowledge of cold chain management and basic DG.
  • Sense of urgency balanced by meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems that may occur during deliveries.
  • Initiative and common sense.
  • Reliable and accountable.
  • Customer focus, with the ability to deliver exceptional service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
