Insurance Operations Specialist Role

This is a critical position in the insurance operations department, responsible for providing expertise and support across various areas.

  • Manage complex insurance enquiries and escalations through management of the insurance operations inbox;
  • Review and update of insurance business rules to ensure alignment with industry standards;
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with the team to implement changes;
  • Support implementation of product and pricing changes, ensuring seamless execution;
  • Assist with insurance related breaches and incidents, taking proactive measures to mitigate risk.

This role requires a strong understanding of insurance principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and organisational skills.

The successful candidate will have at least five years' experience in an insurance role, with a focus on investigation, ownership, and decision-making skills. Superannuation or insurance administration experience is desirable.

Key qualifications include:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to proofread and edit documents accurately;
  • Well-developed sense of initiative, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a close-knit team;
  • Able to work diligently, efficiently, and with accuracy, paying close attention to detail;
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
