Senior Manager, Quality Assurance and Standards

Role Overview:

  • Full-time senior leadership position in quality assurance and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development and implementation of quality assurance frameworks to drive excellence in international education.
  2. Oversee risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements including ESOS Act, National Code, Foundation Program Standards, and ELICOS Standards.
  3. Provide expert advice on academic governance and quality assurance best practices.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external regulators to ensure alignment with RMIT's strategic objectives.
  5. Develop and maintain policy frameworks, manage the organization's risk profile, and lead compliance reporting.
  6. Mentor and guide staff to deliver high-quality governance and compliance outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (postgraduate desirable).
  • Proven leadership and management experience in an education setting.
  • Expert knowledge of risk and regulatory frameworks related to international education.
  • Strong experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing fit-for-purpose policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with executives, regulators, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice and drive continuous improvement in governance and compliance.
  • Highly developed organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop staff.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making under pressure.
